Rupert Vogel is a partner of the German law firm "Vogel & Partner Rechtsanwälte" in Karlsruhe and Stuttgart and specializes in technology, IT and media law.

He advises and represents German and international enterprises both in and out of court with regard to complex agreements especially concerning the internet (e.g. cloud computing, outsourcing), traditional and agile project agreements and project difficulties, the structuring of business models in the new media, the licensing and protection of software and technology. The excellent reputation both Rupert and his law firm have acquired reflects in great results in several rankings which state the firm as one among the best business law firms in the area of IT and telecommunications.

Further areas of Rupert's activity include memberships in supervisory boards at several software enterprises and an associate professorship at Mannheim University where Rupert lectures on IT and copyright law.

Additionally he used to be Director of the German Association of Law and Informatics (DGRI) for many years and is still involved in several organisations, e.g. as a board member of Interdisciplinary Centre for Intellectual Property at Mannheim University (IZG).

Rupert received degrees in law at the Universities of Heidelberg and Dijon and a doctorate at the law faculty of Montpellier University.
